Just saw some of these videos, pretty interesting.

Exams, Here I Come!

Yes, examinations start tomorrow and it will stretch over the week and next. It’s the final examinations of year 1 and I’m really hoping to do well for this.

Oh yes, Liverpool won last night against Barcelona, just liven up my spirits. I hope this happy mood will help me much in my examinations. All the best guys!

Cheers.

CNY As Usual..

Chinese New Year. Every year seems to be the same. Same visting times, same houses to visit, same way of doing things. It doesn’t have any surprises or difference over the years. Is CNY suppose to be like this? A tradition and culture which we all have to follow and hence, doing the same old things again? I’m not very sure. I just followed what I need to do.

The first day of CNY was of course slightly different. It’s also my birthday. Something special and I collected double hongbaos this year. YEAH! However, besides that, there’s nothing much of a difference. Collect hongbaos, played cards and mahjong, greetings etc.

Unfortunately, for this year, examinations are held during CNY. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? Yes, I have to accept it. Just can’t believe that I have to study during CNY period. Nevertheless, I had no other choice but to go into my notes and books and pray hard that everything goes well. Still, everyone knows, studies needs 99% hard work, 1% luck.

I admit, it’s hard to concentrate and be focus on the books during CNY while your family and friends are enjoying themselves. It needs lots of discipline and mental strength to overcome this barrier. It’s very difficult and I do have difficulities doing that, sad to say. It’s so depressing to see myself unable to study when I know that it’s a must to study and if I don’t, the consequences would be bad. Somehow, I’m unable to feel the sense of urgency. From primary school to secondary school and till now, whenever exams approaches, I can’t feel the urgency. Although my mind tells me this, my body just couldn’t react to it and do the things I should be doing.

Is this lack of self-discipline? Or purely laziness? I’m not really sure, as I myself couldn’t find the answer. Maybe when I know the answer, it’s the time i wake up. There’s something lacking in me which I know, however, I don’t know what’s the thing which is missing in me.

I’m praying hard that I can find the answer soon. Fast enough to wake me up and fufill the things I need to do.

Cheers.

Happy Chinese New Year!

I would like to wish you all of you out there a

Happy Chinese New Year!

May all your wishes come true and a smooth year ahead!

Reunion Dinners..

It’s chinese new year and of course, there are some traditions to be followed and done. For example, reunion dinners.

It’s important to have such a dinner and every year, without fail, we will come together and eat as a family.

Last night, I had dinner with the Maoists, so call “reunion dinnner” for us. 12 of us gathered at Seoul Garden and we had a great time. As usual, jokes and laughters were all around. Of course, when I’m with them, I never fail to laugh and it’s just feel good being together as a team. Maoists has been around for sometime, if I’m not wrong, 5 years together as a team and of course, a group of friends who share the same interest, football. I do hope that this team will continue playing together and of course, being together as a group of friends as well. Thanks for the dinner guys.

Of course, just several hours ago, I just had my reunion dinner with my family. Somehow, this year, we had our dinner at the restaurant. Yes, it’s packed and that caused some problems. Service was slow, food wasn’t ready on time etc. But still, I tried my best to enjoy myself and also engaged in conversations with my uncle. Although it’s not the best dinner I’ve, but still, it’s a family gathering.

It’s already past 12 midnight and it’s 18th of February. Chinese New Year and of course, my birthday. Recieved many sms and messages from friends and family, really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

It’s going to be a long 3 days of house visiting and of course, collecting hongbaos!

Cheers.

Funny Football Commericals..

I was browsing the net and I came upon these videos. Being a football fan, I was fascinated by these commercials mainly because of the skills they displayed on the football and also the meaning behind each advertisment.

Enjoy..

Have a good laugh?

Cheers.

Valentine’s Day..

14th february, everyone knows it’s Valentine’s Day. Gifts, flowers, letters, dates etc, all these words just came to mind. However, for me, this year valentine’s day was spent mainly at home and family.

For the past few years, I would at least go out and probably a dinner with my girlfriend. For this year, as I’m not attached, I ended up at home, packing my room, surfing the net, exploring the blogging world and softwares as well. Chinese New Year is coming soon, packing my room is a must. Of course, that doesn’t mean I don’t pack my room any other day, just that, for CNY, I will be more detailed in packing and tidying my room.

I thought packing a room is easy. But, I was wrong. It was tiring. Carrying books and boxes up and down, left to right alone, can make me go panting. Removing my secondary books off my shelves brought back memories of times studying for O’Levels but also memorable times spent in secondary school. Although I still go back to ADSS for Npcc, the feeling is different from being a graduate of the school and a student over there. Flashbacks of secondary school just brings a smile to my face as I removed the books.

Nevertheless, despite all the panting, I managed to clear some stuff, or I should say many unwanted items in my room and the room is much neater and pleasant looking. I love neat and tidy rooms. I always try to make an effort to keep my room presentable at all times, at least for myself. Now that it’s nice and tidy, I feel much more comfortable being in my room.

Back to Valentine Day, it seems to me like it’s just another ordinary day. People will still need to report to work, students will still need to go to school. Of course, it’s also a day for couples to exchange gifts with one another, and also an assurance for both parties that their relationships are strong. Recieving a gift from your loved one is a special feeling and I can understand the joy of people are having during Valentine’s Day.

Still, as I’m reaching my 18th birthday real soon, and though I may not have the most experience to say about this, I believe that Valentine’s Day is like a trend, a day for couples to go out and have dinner etc. You can always give your partners gifts any other day and I’m sure your partner will be more surprised to recieve gifts from you. In other words, Valentine’s Day is just a trend over many years and people are using this opportunity to show their love and concern to their partners as well. What do you think readers?

Chinese New Year is on Sunday. 18th February. It’s also my birthday. Yes, this year is really special for me. I’m spending my 18th birthday on the 18th February which is also the first day of CNY. I’m looking forward to the day as the world’s chinese will be celebrating CNY with me and of course, my birthday as well. ;)

Unfortunately, my exams are after CNY, which tells me that I have to study during and after CNY. It’s okay, I guess this is just parts and parcel of life. I just have to accept it and make sure I do well for this term. I didn’t do well for the previous term and was deeply disappointed. Hopefully, I will be smiling this time when I get my results this term.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Cheers. ;)

Thanks BN.. It’s Simply Great..

Yesterday was another day which entered the history of BN. An awesome day which marked the final gathering of us after being together as a class for year 1. (before the chalet and exams)

I was kept unknown of what’s happening throughout the days and though, I knew they had something up their smelly sleeves, I didn’t expect what they had planned.

I met the guys in the afternoon and despite all the questioning by me, they still refused to tell me where we are heading to. I don’t like the fact of walking aimlessly and I was just following them. In the end, I found myself in a KBOX. Being in a KBOX is normal. However, this time, it’s different. I was in the KBOX VIP ROOM! Oh yes, where you have pool table and a huge room to sing, run and jump about.

Upon reaching there, I was not only surprised of the spacious room, but also the fact that I saw many people around. Almost the whole class was there. That just simply pleased me the most.

We sang songs, played pool, hop around for me, and of course, I could see smiles on everyone’s face. That’s the most important. I was just enjoying myself, cracked jokes with the guys, ate the tibits, sang the songs to my fullest ability. (though it’s sucks)

3pm struck and they came in with a birthday cake. STANDARD! The procedures are always the same for everyone. I was one of the planners for the rest until yesterdays’ gathering. 4 of us. KokWee, Kenny, Clara and ME! We are celebrating 2 belated birthdays and 2 advanced birthdays respectively. The cake came in and the birthday song was loud. I was wondering it was loud due to the room or the class was really loud?

Blew candles, cut the cake, shared the cake by the whole class. Really feeling very glad and happy at that moment. I just can’t help smiling.

As I’ve mentioned, after cutting of cake, it will be presents’ giving session. I’m awared that the guys spent much time in making the presents and the creativity level is just.. NUMBER 1.

All thanks to them, I recieved 2 BALLS! Both footballs. A self-made ball and a real football. The self-made ball consists of their wishes for me. What an idea.. But I truly love the balls and appreciate all their efforts and thoughts for me.

Went on singing and the class was beginning to get real high as we approached the ending time. We kept on singing the high songs and the atmosphere was great! Screams, shoutings, dances, jumps, falls(that’s for me) and many more. Every single of them were on high spirits. It’s incredible.

We ended off as a high. The feeling was just..couldn’t explained it especially the gathering was there for the 4 of us and I was included. Thumbs up!

Taken when it’s not ready!

One Big Family!

*It’s great. Very nice of you guys to plan out something like that. It’s simple and just an gathering, however, I still think that it meant so much for me. A day which I won’t forget and of course, many of us won’t forget as well. It’s so unfortunate that we have to go our separate ways next term, still, it’s just part and parcel of life, we have to accept and move on. BN will always be there even we can’t be together physically. I count myself being a very lucky boy to be in such a wonderful class, a class which gave me so many sweet memories and unforgettable moments.

Jiahao, Jayjee, Clara, Meiqi, Zihui, Minghao, Claire, Qiaoling, Hidayah, Xiaoen, Connie, Cindy, KokWee, Kenny, Ben, XueWei, XiuJuan, Bee Chin, Aiwei, Shiyao, YinYee, Einsy, Ebene, Jazzlin, Tingting, PuaySien, Miss Diana Tan.

A very big THANK YOU for every single one of you.

A New Banner..

Just uploaded a new banner. A banner which is done by myself. Being a rookie for Photoshop, I’ve tried my very best to do a good banner out and after several tries, I guess this is the one which satisfys me.

It’s my first time, and of course, I know, it’s not of a highest standard, but I guess this is my best try with my “skills” currently. Need to learn more and familarise with the software but till now, please let me know your comments and views. I would be more than delighted to improve on it.

Thanks.

 Cheers.

Updates..

Just typing another entry to update and reflect on what I’ve been doing these few weeks. January was a busy month and at the beginning, I was struggling to get my body, thoughts and actions into place. I was trying hard to adapt the hectic timetable and it took some time for me to get settled down.

Besides projects, studies is a worry for me. I know myself, I haven’t been doing too well in my work. I know what expected of me however, I just can’t get hold on it and produce the results which I want. That’s pretty disappointing. Is that so hard to concentrate? I’m really wonder..

Oh yes! Singapore won the Asean Cup. I was happy for them and feeling so proud for Singapore. The football team have improved tremedously over the years and this team is the first Singapore team which made me jump off my seat. I was shouting at home watching the final when Khairul Amri scored that goal. Singapore deserved to win and I really hope that Singapore can work on from here. COME ON LIONS!

Last week, I went back for NPCC. They had a camp. Secondary one camp. I went back to help out and although it’s not the first time doing this, I enjoyed the camp. Different batches of students have different characteristics. This batch of secondary ones has something different from the rest. Their enthusiam level is really high and even though there were some obtacles for them, they were able to hang on and I could see the positives in them. That’s something which pleases me the most. Of course, when they grew older, they will change. My job is to make sure they change for the better, not the worst. Going back tomorrow to see them again, hopefully they can maintain that level of “hyperness”.

Had a soccer match yesterday back in ADSS. Maoists vs Cageback. It was one-sided though. The score was like 14 -1. What a score? Double digits. Although the standard between the teams was huge, I was trying my best to play well and it’s been some time I’ve played the full match. It’s tiring, but the feeling was really good. Working out and playing soccer in the field is something I would not exchange anything for. I enjoyed the game and credits to my players, they worked hard individually, and I’m looking forward for the next game for Maoists. WELL DONE GUYS!

Chinese New Year is approaching, and that tells me that exams are coming as well. Unfortunately for this year, my exams are after my CNY. Am I going to hold some books in my hand during new year? Hmmm, I’ll see.

Cheers.
