What A Weekend!

The weekend was great! It have been quite some time that I’ve enjoyed myself so much. Days which I was not bothered by anything and had as much fun as I can be. Everything started on Friday.

Channel U show, Hey Gorgeous came over to NYP and the school seems to be excited upon to see the hosts coming over to find those handsome hunks and pretty babes. The whole school seems to be down onto the Atrium to see the whole filming of the show. NGs were taken here and there while the hosts entertained the students. I was among the crowd, of course.

Voted our choices and we grabbed the chance to take some photos with the hosts. Desmond Koh was the first who my good friend, Johnson and myself took with.

Next was Fiona Xie! Both of us were like so excited to be able to take a picture with her after much struggling as she was so popular among the students.

After photo-taking, I had to rush home and packed my things for the weekend. My family and I headed to Mount Faber Safra for a dinner. My cousin registered with his girlfriend in ROM in the morning and we attended the buffet dinner.

It was pleasant dinner and the food was not that bad. Nice to see the couple being happy together. It seems like many of my cousins are going to tie their knots pretty soon. Looking forward to everyone’s turn.

Soon after dinner, I headed down to Pasir Ris Costa Sands, for my buddy, Marcus’ chalet. It’s his 18th birthday and like 3 years ago, he organised a chalet for all of us to gather and celebrate this happy occasion.

Maoists were all there when I arrived. It’s great to see all of them gathered together and had fun. Played PS2, poker etc during the night and everyone slept soundly at around 6am in the morning.

Went to swim in the night with some of the guys and I realised it’s so tiring to play a game in the water. Swimming in the rectangle pool is not as easy as it seems. The water was icy cold and I was trembling half of the time.

Pointing to the sky..

Marcus’ family and his friends came the second night for the barbeque. Good food, great company and we had so much fun sabotaging the birthday boy, of course.

The cake cutting session

We, Maoists bought a football for the birthday boy, with all our signatures on it. Hope he likes it boy!

We had so much fun throughout the 3 days. Let my hair down and just enjoyed every single bit I could. It’s awesome with all the company. I’m lucky to have this bunch of crazy, fun and humorous bunch of friends. Thanks Marcus and Maoists!

A new week starts tomorrow and it’s time to come back to earth after so much enjoyment during the weekend. Work hard, Play hard.

Cheers, ;)

Anger Management..

There are many times in our daily lives that we gets angry and frustrated due to whatever reasons it may be. It’s normal, I guess.

I used to be temperemental when I was younger. Tends to get fed up and flare up whenever things aren’t going the way I wanted it to be. Especially during sports and in football. Body get heated up when team is losing or poor performance.

However, as I grew up, things start to change. I was able to control my temper and mood better and toned down much since. During poor games, I managed to endure and move on. Maybe, I’m more experienced as I learned more.

Last night, I played football in school. Unfortunately, things were not just football. I was getting frustrated as we played. Rough tackles were everywhere. Legs were being kicked and words are being swored. Yes, you may say that it’s football. However, agression is alright if football is played fairly.

I could sense the unhappiness in myself and my team-mates as the games played on. Yes, I was getting angry and frustrated. I was about to burst anytime. Feeling so hot, I was beginning to be agressive in my football. I was not holding back in every tackle which I seldom do.

Body contact, pushing were just some things all of us did. To be honest, I did almost lose it. I was so tempted to kick or even miss the ball to tackle legs. It’s not a good thing to do but at the moment when you are feeling so heated up, it cannot be helped. I went for every single ball I could and being in a angry mood, I tend to play better surprisely.

I believe that a game like this, it’s not about winning or losing. It’s about sportsmanship and fairness. Playing rough is okay when it’s fair, but not in a unglamour way which I experienced last night. I did manage to hold back despite all the instigation and I’m glad I did.

Thought of what will the consequences be in the shower room when I was cooled down. It would not be pleasant, that’s for sure.

It’s a lesson, a test of my endurance and I have to admit, I almost failed it.

Cheers, :)

Feeling Good..

Busy and hectic schedule throughout the weeks as usual. Although of the packed timetable, I’m enjoying as much as I can in every activity, be it in school, outside or anywhere.

July is going to end pretty soon and here comes August. The year is soon to be 2008 and so on. Time is indeed moving fast. Fast till that sometimes we don’t realise it. Events and activities come and go.

I was surfing the net this morning and I came upon this interesting news. Being a blogger myself, I’m interested to see that bloggers on the net are actually commenting on each other’s blogs. Of course, complimenting is nothing new. But, negative comments and remarks may cause many controversies and bad effects. Bloggers are in fact, criticising each other’s blogs and the question of what’s a blog for comes back.

It’s an eye-opener reading the comments, knowing how they feel as well. Yes, it’s very demoralising when people started to comment negatively on your blog. I can understand that. But sometimes, when you post something on the internet, we must always be prepared that anyone can read what you have written and it holds a certain risk. I will continue to read these news and see whether there’s anymore follow ups to it.

NPCC training on Saturday as usual. Sergeant promotion for my sec 3 kids. Many of them passed and I’m pleased by their performance. Improving each day as I watched them grow.

We took photos. That’s for sure.

SMILES! Congrats for those made it to Sergeant! Keep it up!

Played a football match this afternoon. Against Cyrill’s Team at Kingston International School. We travelled a long way to Farrer Park Station and took a bus to the school. The place was below expectation though. Despite that, we adapted to the hot weather and the match was on!

We won the match 4-2 and the feeling is great. I scored the second goal for Maoists and everyone was pleased with the result. Morale is high on the team and I really hope we can maintain it. WELL DONE MAOISTS! Keep it going..

I’m feeling good and I do hope for the better.

Jiayou!

Crescent and Stars..

A crescent is hanging high up on the sky,
with stars surrounding it.
A beautiful night,
however,
the picture may not be as it seems.

There are many things I don’t understand,
things which disappoints you every now and then.
It’s disheartening, or I should say very.

When it does not go your way,
frustration creeps in.
I can’t help wondering what went wrong.
And, many a times,
I was unable to figure out.

Sad as it’s always be.
Smile maybe the best cure.
But,
where can I find it?

Cheers, ;)

I Don’t Care..

I don’t mind,
I don’t care,
as long as you are here.

Hours slide and days go by,
till you decide to come.

Sometimes,
it’s uncontrollable, and..
unbelievable.

It’s you I missed,
yet it’s me who got everything.
I really hope that..
I can afford not to care.

Can I make it?
Can I make it on time?

Let’s see..

Cheers, ;)

Packed..

The day was busy and tiring, fulfilling at the same time. Wore formal wear to school today to help out in a career talk. The talk was beneficial, at least to me to a certain extent. More tasks were given for me to complete, was running here and there throughout the school today. Though busy, I enjoyed the process. At least, I was occupied and time seems to pass faster with my hands and mind working.

I’m enjoying every minute of this stopover as much as I can. Making new friends, chatting with different people makes me happier each day. Learning from one another, cracking jokes and laughing out loud are things we do every now and then in school.

Took a photo today for those in formal wear!

Informal!

I also realised that I’ve many things to learn. Many things which I do not know and feel like a nobody when some things are mentioned, yet I have no idea about it. Of course, knowledge is never ending but at the age of 18 this year, I do need to widen my space and be expose to more things, learning new skills and experiences along the way.

Looks like I have a long way to go..

Cheers, ;)

It’s Time..

Yesterday, we celebrated Fan Sheng’s 18th birthday after school and I’m sure that the birthday boy enjoyed the day. Though it’s a simple meal together and a birthday cake, it’s the company that matters, most importantly, the smile was always on birthday’s boy face. Caught Harry Potter after cutting cake session and everyone headed home soon after due to school the next day.

Went home early today due to project in the morning. I was not used to the time of going home early. Took the time to rest and reflected as well.

The upcoming days are full of activities and it will continue for the next few weeks as well. Seems like I have to plan it well so that I will not leave out anything. Some may use diary, calendar to take note of their time. However, for me, I use my memory. Of course, it’s not the best option. Still, I’ve been using this method for quite some time. Week in week out entry into the memory and so far, everything has been smooth.

However, it might prove too much to take when things are getting more and increasing each day. It’s still better to jot it down than to remember it. It seems like I have start doing that as tasks and appointments are piling up every now and then.

Reflection is important but confusing. I always tend to be confused after much reflecting and feeling helpless after that. That’s exactly how I felt today. Speechless at times and staring at space, thinking of what’s next. This is not the first to feel this way. Perhaps it’s part of growing up.

Uncertainty is in the air, yet challenging as well. Am I able to overcome it?

It’s time to grow up.
It’s time to be independent.
It’s time to think about it.
It’s time to do something.
And it’s time to wake up.

Cheers, ;)

Simple..

Life has been constant with almost the same activities happening week in week out. Of course, there’ll be exceptions. School has always been the same and it’s the weekend which makes me anticipate more.

A picture taken when I was at Human Link, guess what we are doing?

I’ve attended a band performance in NYP auditorium last Friday. It’s an collaboration of NYP Symphony Orchestra and Bedok North Secondary School. Some of my friends are performing, so decided to give them support.

I was enjoying the performance and impressed by Bedok North Sec Band. They really have entertained me despite of their young age. Though I do not know much about music and instruments, it’s not easy to be up there performing and I salute their efforts up there on the stage.

I went there with Mao, Jueming, Fan Sheng and Jeremy and we managed to take a photo with Guanqi who’s performing. Could sense her happiness upon seeing us. Sometimes, presence can make a huge difference.

Really enjoyed the performance put up by them and I’m looking forward for their next performance in November. I will make myself free to go. :)

I was back in Adss for NPCC training. Training has been changed to Saturdays nowadays. It’s a better option for me as well as I’m free on Saturday mornings instead of Friday evenings when I need to rush from school.

Has been communicating with my cadets and giving them tasks to fulfill as well. Enjoying every single moment with them, making sure they learn something every training and end of the day, passing out a good cadet and person.

Took photos of them when they were playing a game. I was smiling all the way to see them having so much fun.

After training, I met up with old pal, Joyce along with my primary school teacher, Francis. I’ve known Joyce since I was secondary one and it’s great to meet up. Used to come to my house during Chinese New Year and I remember she won plenty of money. Haha!

Francis taught me when I was primary 4 and he was my soccer coach as well. I’ve never expect to meet up with him and actually had dinner together. I enjoyed the session very much and it’s great seeing all of them again. Went to watch the fireworks at Raffles City and had a pleasant way back home. Thanks Joyce and Francis.

Saw this beautiful rainbow one of the days when I was going to school. Just so BEAUTIFUL!

A new week ahead! Enjoy as much as you work hard guys!

Cheers, ;)

Bear It..

I’ve decided,
which is the way I wanted.
Consequences,
good or bad,
bear it.

Cheers, ;)

Take That..

It have been pretty smooth this week when things didn’t gave me much headaches. Most of the time during the week, I was recovering from the fatigue of the overseas trip. Although it’s just a short trip, I needed time to replenish and adapt back to the hectic schedule back in Singapore.

Currently, I’m still under my attachment, my second stop-over. It’s going to be another of 9 weeks and I’m already on the 3rd week. So far, we have several projects to be done. We started on one last week and it’s not that bad experience. It’s something new for us, something which we didn’t do before. Personally, it’s also an exposure. I guess at our age, it’s the best for us to be expose to more things and learn through the process. That’s my aim.

Pictures taken in BSU room.

3 of us slacking!

Watched the Transformers last friday with MSC people and it was totally awesome!

The show was simply breathtaking! Watched from the first minute all the way till the end. Didn’t have the time to get my eyes away from the screen. Storyline was great. A good sense of humor in the movie as well.

I was quite fascinated by the robots. The fights and transactions was so real. It’s just unbelievable to see that the movie has moved into a new dimensions where everything seems so realistic. Top-notch movie, it’s nice to catch it if you didn’t. I give 5 out of 5 marks.

Went out with the guys yesterday. Bought several stuff for myself and it cost me a bomb. Looks like I have to start saving again. A jacket and a pair of slippers.

Spend the day at home resting. Packed my room and getting prepared for the week ahead. I was thinking of the next holiday I’m going to have and it’s seems so far far away. I’m actually looking forward to my next overseas trip. Wonder when will it be. I just want to go out and see many places as much as I can. Of course, having said that, you needs lots of money and company to leave the country and visit another.

There are many things which I want and want to do. It’s all up to me to do it.

Take that,
take it in,
beautiful girl.

Cheers, ;)
