Finally, I Broke The Duck!

Over the last few months, I’ve been playing football. Given the chance and time, I would definitely change into my sports kit and off I go fighting for the ball. Maoists has been the main team which I play with, once in a while, with my NYP mates on the hockey pitches.

For the past matches, I just couldn’t find the back of the net. I couldn’t remember when is the last time I scored, but I know it’s been quite sometime back. I’m playing as a midfielder, center of the park. Being an attack-minded player, scoring goals is something which I often do. Sadly so, there was a drought.

I had a match this morning, a match which I’m looking forward to win as a team and hopefully get a goal, breaking the goal-less run. I got the ball in the middle, ran at the defence, faked shot which just totally dumbed the defender, off I go curled into the top corner! YES! Finally, I broke the duck. The feeling was great, relieved and my team-mates congratulated me. :)

The weather was scorching hot these few days. I went swimming on Saturday morning and this morning, the sun was equally nasty. I had some sun-burns at my face and body now as I’m typing this. Well, I hope it would recover soon, very soon I mean.

April is coming very soon, and March is marching off. March has been pretty a smooth month. Working is a new and challenging experience which is already in me. Waking up everyday the same time, wearing formal wear, squeezing into trains and buses early in the morning. Well, as I’m getting used to the working life, the attachment is ending. With a month to go, we are heading back to school for the new semester. DARN!

Oh yes, Guest of Honor. So far so good? I’ve been inviting people to be guests for me, and they are really nice to accept. :) Thank you very much. The previous guest wrote really well, didn’t she? The next one coming up, a nice lady. Look forward to it!

Hweimin, Layling and John’s Birthday at Swensens
Had a great time meeting everyone eating dinner!

Wanted to share this picture I saw on the newspaper that day. I took it with my lousy hp camera though.

A dog was in the temple praying with its master

I need to pray hard as well. ;)

Cheers!

Guest Of Honor – VinC

A couple of days ago, I received a colossal task. An unprecedented one I must add. Unlike a gazillion other tasks that are bestowed upon me, I was remarkably excited about it, in fact, I still am. So here I am, your third ‘guest of honor’, as Louis puts it, of homeofdreams.wordpress.com. Louis has requested that I make a mini introduction about myself and how the both of us are related. As easy as it sounds, many a times I find myself stuck at how we even become friends in the first place.

I said friends because I had heard of him and knew of his existence even before we became friends. This has got to go way back to our secondary school days – the good old days with uniforms and rules and regulations aplenty. Well, the strange thing about us human is that we tend to remember faces especially pretty face, what more on a day-to-day basis of schooling life where even the most mediocre look will become familiar after some time. That is the reason why we can tell if someone is from our school even if we do not personally know said person. I guess everyone here can’t agree more when I say that our dear Louis here is aesthetically appealing. And yes, his good looks did draw a lot of attention back then.

On the contrary, it was not his pretty face that got my attention first ( I think I was too blind to notice beautiful things around me =.= ) but rather through the words of mouth. Girls talked about him and I have heard things, beautiful things. So much so that I doubted what I hear but when I finally bumped into him, I instantly realized what the fuss was all about. There is this aura of quiet confidence and charisma about him. He practically just shines through. I don’t know what do you guys think but to me Louis is a person with a lot of life in him. He is very passionate and really friendly.

Like I have mentioned earlier, I really cannot remember and certainly do not know what drew us together for when it had finally dawned on me I already found myself talking to him on msn like old friends do. Maybe it was his warm and cheerful personality for I feel really comfortable sharing thoughts with him. The funny thing about us is that we can talk on and on about just anything online but in real life we seldom really engage in a conversation. Why is that so you might ask but my apologies for I myself cannot really comprehend this situation either. Does that happen to many of you out there too? Hmmm I wonder.

Anyway, through the numerous conversations we have had over the years, we have touched on a wide scope of things but are mostly little personal matters ^^. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, *drumrolls here are some snippets of Louis’ personal life teehee * runs away

He has a hot body

(highlight the gap)

to quote the 2nd guest of honour =)

Truth to be told, I do not know much but even if I know I won’t disclose them here without his permission. Gosh this post is so boring and to think that I promised this site master that I will write something interesting =(

Let me just leave here with something really inspiring and thought-provoking that I have recently chanced upon.

This is how it works. You’re young until you’re not. You love until you don’t. You try until you can’t. You laugh until you cry. You cry until you laugh. And everyone must breathe until their dying breath. No, this is how it works. You peer inside yourself. You take the things you like. And try to love the things you took. And then you take that love you made and stick it into some someone else’s heart. Pumping someone else’s blood and walking arm in arm. You hope it don’t get harmed. But even if it does, you’ll just do it all again. And on the radio, you hear November Rain. That solo’s awful long, but it’s a good refrain. You listen to it twice.

Perfect?

How’s your long weekend? Good Friday plus the weekend. We were looking forward for this week due to the extra day of rest. Well, it’s already Sunday, while I’m typing this entry. The week starts again tomorrow. Darn!

Spend the time mostly with family and friends. Was with Marcus, JiunHsien and Julius last Friday. We headed to the Julius’ condo gym. Though with limited facilities, I thought it was good enough for the 4 of us. I could still remember the days in which we headed his house for swimming, games, overnight stays. Those good old days.

Good Friday was spent working out and yes, it does have some effects on me. ACHES and CRAMPS the next day. I’m serving the country very soon, how to protect Singapore? Haha, just a thought.

Was back at grandma’s place yesterday. Seeing my grandparents are the most important. Seeing them smile and communicating with the family just assured my heart. Cousins are forever hyper and laughing. They are just enjoying each other’s company and I do hope that sometimes, I can be like them, laughing out loud.

I had a dream last night. A “perfect” dream I should say. Somehow, I do remember this dream when I woke up. Everything in the dream is perfect and everything I hope and wish for is happening in that nice sleep. I do hope that the dream was real. Well, when we are asleep, we would always thought that the dreams were actually happening. We only realise upon waking up. I can only hope for now..

Maoists training in the morning. It was decent and I felt good after it. Though tiring, I played my heart out. I’ve always wanted to improve my skills, but I do not know whether I did or not. I just know I gotta keep playing if I wish to play better.

It would be difficult times very soon.
I gotta see how it goes.

Guest of Honor coming up soon! A lady this time. :)

Cheers!

Guest Of Honor – JunQin aka Mao

yay! I’m invited to write here, heng louis approached me first or else I would have shamelessly requested to do so.

erm, some of you might probably know, I like to keep tabs on hot and/or cute guys. I know it’s a little pervy and disturbing = /

I classify louis as a cute guy because of his braces and brilliant smile. =D

And so I stalked him for a year and sometimes he will flash his brilliant smile at me,

polly thinking what the hell is with this dude that carries such a large bag? lol.

then year one ended and it was TEP!

During orientation and the first few days I was very happy because same stopover as him ma same lecture group and future classmates mah.

I kept smiling and hi-ing at him,

he was cool, haha normally people don’t respond to me because I think I’m scary. *smiles*

and soon the work began to pile up and I didn’t bother about him anymore.

however, he will come by into our room everyday to do cleanliness checks and still got what check himself against the mirror la! …

then TEP ended and classical lo.

slacked thru and eat donuts during breaks. Then did skits and projects with cyrill, jeremy and ernie!

Then classical ended and the real classes started lo, pon lecture, chiong projects, play soccer, watch movie.

then attachment le.

oh ya, one of the best things about playing soccer with him is that you get to see his hot body if you shower after the game.

lol, I’m not sure whether you want to post this anymore but you said can write anything! `lalalala

btw, keep your chin up, I hope to see your smile everyday! =D

It’s Not Going To Be Easy..

Disappointment is inevitable.
It will definitely take some time.
Yes, I need more time.

A next Guest of Honor is coming up very soon.

Cheers.

Guest of Honor – Jiahao

Greetings!

2 years and counting, yup, this is how long I have known this skinny fella. The friendship was founded on the second day of our school(NYP)’s orientation programme at Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, where I happened to bump into him. Since then, we have been good buddies in and out of class(BM0613 or BN), helping each other when in need.

Coincidentally, we share similar hobbies. Both of us watch football, just that we support different teams. We also play mahjong, and often together with a few other regular Kakis. Despite us being in different classes now, we still do meet up quite often, be it mahjong games or some other stuffs. Call it gay, we even go shopping together once in a while.

Look how ‘loving’ we areOral Communication Project!
(Yin Yee, me and Louis)
Great Buddies!
(Louis, Jayjee and me)

The friendship does not end here.

Cheers!

Guest of Honor..

Home of Dreams has been around for a year plus and always been about my “boring life”, my rants, my happiness etc. I got this idea from a fellow blogger in which he invites his family and friends to post an entry in his blog.

I found it interesting and with my busy timetable now, it would be perfect for people around me writing a post for me. In this way, Home of Dreams is updated with different style of writing, with different opinions and views.

Therefore, I’m trying out this idea and hoping that it would add more life and spice in this site. I’ll still be sharing my own stuff like usual, along with a Guest of Honor’s entry, probably on a weekly basis, depending on my guest list though. I hope my social circle is big enough, :)

For those who accepted my invitation, thank you very much. For those who haven’t, I’m coming!

Cheers!

NPCC – Cadet Leader Camp 1 – 2 March 08

I’m very late. It’s already 13 days since the camp ended. Well, I’m posting it up now, so enjoy the read. I haven’t been going back to Adss for quite some time due to my school attachment. Fridays training are out of the question, however, for weekends I would definitely make time for my lovely cadets.

The camp was fortunately on the a weekend which allowed me to attend it. Going back every time made me feel so like before, when I was a secondary school student. Although times has changed, the building and environment are still as nice as before, where memories just flowed
back naturally.

This camp consisted of 3 levels. Secondary 1, 3 and 4s. The 3s are conducting the camp, allowing them to learn how to lead the younger ones and letting them know on how to organise a camp. The 4s are to oversee and facilitate the camp, giving them a feel on what the CIs has been doing.

The Sec1s were enjoying the camp and it’s their first NPCC camp. There are many first times for them and it just put a smile on my face when I saw them enjoying themselves in any activities they were doing.

Here are some photos.. (Mostly with the Sec4s, they are graduating soon)

Sec 1s are in their drills session!

Sec 4s waiting for their turn for Captain’s Ball

Posed for their Cheers! Come on!

One of the boys, so enthusiastic in the game!

I don’t know what’s going on but I could see that they were creating some fun on their own.

Hmmm, how come they are moving when they are falling in?

Really tired after drills?

This lady here was the only one standing left in the drills game – Well done!

I’ve no idea when this photo was taken, well, I’m doing my job!

The instructors were just making sure the camp was smooth and activities were conducted safely. The Sec 3s were working hard in organising the camp which made me really proud. Being a Gold Unit now, we have higher expectations in all aspects from them. I could see they were proving it during the camp.

Just for example, the night walk. Well-executed and I could see the cohesiveness among the leaders, be it Sec 3s or 4s.

Preparation for the walk..

Under the moonlight..

I guess he didn’t know that he’s alone..

Up & Down!

Here we go!

Sec 4s joining in the fun!

There were several highlights in the camp which brought the morale up in the cadets of all levels. The night walk, games, song-singing, makan-sessions. I’ve enjoyed it myself too.

Sec 4s

Yes Najib? The camp coordinator! Keep it up!

Songs & Cheers Session!

“Why are you taking my photo?”

I’m sure he was singing out loud!

More snappings!

I was told to do this!

This one as well?

Look what’s up there!

I seriously don’t know when this was taken again!

The Instructors!

I love this picture though!

What’s wrong with this phone? I wonder?

Syafiqah! Stay positive. :)

You guys made my world!

Our NPCC Family! Sec 3s & 4s

The 2 days spent was totally great. One of the memorable camps I’ve attended. I will definitely miss every single one of them when I finished CIship and when they have graduated. The camp was a successful one and I’m proud to say I’m a CI from Admiralty Secondary School.

Thank you so much for everything.

For more pictures, please approach me on msn okay?

P.S. Credits to SingFor Sir and Faizal Sir for the beautiful pictures.

Cheers!

Stop & Stare..

Just a quick update on what’s going on..

1 month of attachment was gone. Working life is tough, weekends are valuable. For the first time, I miss school. Well, I’m sure I will miss my work place when I finished my internship as well. Have been spending more time on family and friends, football and of course, Mahjong!

I realised I spend more than half a day at the computer everyday. I wonder is that a good thing or not? Computer is a must at work, when I’m back at home, here I go surfing the news, read and explore. Other than sleep, I guess my eyes are mostly on the computer. I must use lesser though.

*For my NPCC mates and cadets, I just got the photos from the camp, I will upload it very soon okay? :)

Will write more soon.

Cheers!
