Away at HongKong!
Hello! I’ll be at HongKong for the next few days. I will be back on Wednesday night.
Take care people.
Cheers!
Congrats USA Women Football Team!
Congratulations USA Women Football Team in winning the Gold Medal after beating Brazil 1-0 in the final. I realise women football can be as exciting as men’s! Their stamina is unbelievable, kept running and running. Well, all the hard work is paid off.
Cheers!
Unbelievable Athletics in Olympics!
Exams are finally over, for goodness sake. It’s been a tough week for me and I’m still taking time to overcome the exam fever. Sleep and rest is what I need the most and I managed to get some rest today. Has been following the Olympics here and there, world records being beaten almost everyday and it’s an addiction, I must admit. Just couldn’t stop watching regardless of which event is showing on television. I’m a sports guy!
Given a little bit of spare time just now, I went to the internet and googled some of the hot and great athletics in the Olympics in their respective sports.
First of all,
Micheal Phelps (USA)
The greatest Olympian ever. 8 Golds in Beijing. Unbelievable Swimmer!

Usain Bolt (Jamaica)
Fastest man on earth! What a sprinter!

200m World Record 19.30s (Broke Michael Johnson’s record in 1996)

Just look at the gap tells you how fast this man is!

Guo JingJing (China)
One of the most outstanding divers, how can I not post her up?

Rafal Nadal (Spain)
Won Singles Gold In Tennis, Powerful man!

Matthias Steiner (Germany)
This man won the 105+kg WeightLifting. The photo in the he’s holding is his wife, who unfortunately passed away. He won it for her and I’m sure she’s very proud of her man. Touching story he has!

Deng LinLin (China)
This young little girl caught my eye in the gymnastics event. Superb technique at a young age, cute little girl too!

Shawn Johnson (USA)
Same with LinLin, this young girl here also attracted me with her fantastic gymnastics somersaults and of course, what impresses me is her great balance on the floor! Promising future ahead!

Jason Lezak (USA)
The reason why I include this man is because of his unbelievable swim in the 4×100m swim relay for USA. His final lap helped his teammate Phelps to clinch the 8 Golds in which one is this event. Sheer determination and hunger for success!

Heather Mitts (USA)
The hottest female footballer I’ve seen so far! I got to include her! Playing at right back for USA and they have won the Gold Medal for Women Football.

Last but not least, our very own,
Table Tennis Women! Silver Medal is an brilliant achievement! Well done!

So yes, to me, these are the main athletics which are in the headlines of Beijing and have caught my attention during these days. Probably more names will be known to me as there are still more events coming up.
Sports is something which can bring the best out of you and it tests your endurance, determination and the hungry for success.
Cheers!
Well Done! Table Tennis Team Singapore!
History is created. The last medal ever won by Singapore in the Olympics is in 1960, way back before I was even born. A silver medal for weightlifting. Today, after 48 years, Singapore Table Tennis Team has entered the Finals of the Team Event, beating the South Koreans. They will be meeting Giants China on Sunday. Being in the Final means Singapore would at least get a Silver and that’s a Olympic MEDAL, for goodness sake!
Congrats Singapore!
I’m very happy for Singapore. Fantastic achievement.
Feng TianWei – She played superbly! Brilliant!

While Singapore enjoys her success at Beijing, I’m back home, pondering what’s next. I shouldn’t be blogging now, but well, when there’s a feel, you just couldn’t stop it. Examinations time man! “How can you be using your laptop ar!” That’s what my father will rant whenever he walks past my room.
First paper is down and I felt like shit when I came out of the examination door. I doubt I should elaborate more. Somehow, all the enthusiasm and excitement have died, dead.
Cheers.
Dear God..
I was watching MTV yesterday and I chanced upon a music video of a very nice song. I didn’t want to switch channels after that. Straightaway, I was attracted to that song and hence, waited for the song title and artist to be out. After enjoying the video, it says “Dear God” by Avenged Sevenfold. Well, I knew such a band existed but I didn’t know they sang such nice songs.
I couldn’t think of title of this particular post, hence, just put “Dear God” as I’m listening to this awesome song now.
National Day’s celebration is over. Olympics is showing every moment now. Every channel seems to be showing different sports. Some were eye-opener to me and some were totally brilliant. Their determination and hunger to win are somethings I would love to learn and have. Although Singapore has a long way to achieve the standards, I still feel that they are working in the right direction and hopefully, they will win something soon, be it this year or 4 years later.
Last day of school last Thursday. The class went for a gathering lunch at FISH & Co glass house. Response was pretty okay and I’m glad that we had finally went out together.
Grandmother’s Birthday (Chinese Calendar) was the same as National Day! Yeah, the whole family gathered at Uncle’s place and watched the whole National Day Parade together as a family. A nice scene to see everyone there. Grandma was very happy, so was Grandpa. I could see them smiling the whole night.
Junior! My beloved DOG! Whenever I come along, he will come over to me and wants me to “sayang” him!
The Grandchildren (Not in full strength)
A new week, full of new challenges again.
Take care people.
Cheers!
08.08.08
8 August 2008. 080808! What a date! I realised that it only happen once every hundred years! That’s probably why I’m blogging now, at least, I posted something on this very special day!
8 is an auspicious number for all and it’s really nice to see our date today. Be it my handphone, my clock or even the date on the computer, it’s looks good.
Olympics has officially started and all the best to TEAM SINGAPORE! (I guess they are still parading at the official opening) Many things are beginning! Tomorrow is National Day! Singapore 43th Birthday. The football league is starting, next week will be the first game we all are looking forward to. And of course, unfortunately, exams are also around the corner!
Well well.
Alrights, enjoy the holiday people!
Cheers!
AUGUST!!
Here comes August! Can’t deny that time always speeds! Today is the only 5th day of August and there are so many things happening at the same time. First of all, projects are all done! Presentations, tests and reports! BYE BYE! (Well, at least for this semester!) A tough and demanding period of weeks and it brought the team stronger! Good job guys!
At least, when I go home everyday, I need not think about typing or submission dates for projects. Quite irritating at times!
The usual Louis who will always watch movies no matter how busy he is! These are the movies he had watched over the last few weeks!
Dark Knight! Joker was awesome! “WHY SO SERIOUS?”

Money Not Enough 2! I laughed my ass out! It’s really funny, teaches about life as well.

Oh yes, how can I leave this out? Last Saturday, I attended Nigel’s birthday party at Aranda Country Club. I was at first hesitating of whether going to the party, but I decided to give it a go and enjoy myself there. It was GREAT!
Made several new friends, laughed it out, dressed up as a GEEK! (They told me to be MYSELF!) Quite a good experience!
Met Dinah and Minghao at Kallang! We went on to Pasir Ris White Sands to make the big collage for the birthday boy! All of us helped out! Marvin and Brandon came later and the collage was done out pretty fast with everyone’s help! (NIGEL, that’s why we are late!)
I was awkward in the beginning, as I didn’t know much people there. Nevertheless, I just went along with crowd and started cracking jokes with one another. They are all fun people to be with and everyone was taking pictures as we became GEEKSS!
3 of us are cracking our heads on how to design our wishesss!
Group Photo With BIRTHDAY BOY!
There are more photos! But I haven’t got it from the rest yet. I will probably upload it all once I got it all and the time! Thank you Nigel for your invitation. The party was fantastic! I’m sure you enjoyed as much as we did!
National Day is coming. 43 years old this year, however, I guess I have to spend the country’s birthday studying. Exams are literally next week?! It’s darn frustrating to just think of it. Olympics are starting too! The football season is once again, beginning! So many things are happening at one go and I’m leaving for HongKong after my examinations. Quite excited for the trip and hopefully, everything will be smoothly done.
Taken with my Siemens friends! Miss them so much!
I guess I would not be updating for the next few weeks. Exams are near and you guys will know why. Wish me luck okay!
Take care all, good luck for your exams people!
Cheers!
